Why do I do what I do? Part 1

As I designed my service offering, I had several guiding questions as my North Star. I thought about who I wanted to serve, how and why. In this post I’d like to share my intention and hopes behind my work for individuals and groups: Emotional Healing and Self Discovery.

When my life turned upside down, I set off on a journey in search of healing and meaning. From this, I experienced how existing talk therapy techniques could be limited because no words seemed to resonate with my reality at that time.

I turned to teachings in Buddhism, which led me to studies in anthroposophy and energy healing - the exact remedy I was looking for. Thus I am now combining higher wisdom and energy work with counselling to facilitate (and supercharge - for those who are ready) growth and healing for my clients.

In the pursuit of inner work, there is strength in numbers - yet everyone moves at their own pace.

Having experienced individual and group therapy sessions, I witnessed the healing power that comes through a person who empathizes with and understands another person’s story without judgement.

Some of us feel more comfortable with having private, one-to-one conversations, while some of us want to connect with others who have had a similar encounter as we do (due to shame or fear of judgement by others who have no clue about our experience).

We often are unaware of how our own stories carry medicinal qualities that soothes another person.

I believe in holding space for one’s truth to be unearthed and spoken, as the need to be heard and understood is part of shared humanity. By offering individual and group sessions, I hope my clients will receive the support that they want, in ways that are most comfortable to them. Together, we shall find answers to questions, rediscover love in loss, and transform pain into wisdom.

To be continued in Part 2 :)
